Phil Corr was involved in leadership with Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship while attending the University of the Pacific. He attended Urbana in 1976 and 1990.

He has a B.A. in Classics from UOP. He received a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He earned a Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary. Read more about Phil Corr's dissertation.

Phil has gone on several short term mission and cross cultural trips. He went with Young Life to four countries in the Orient. He returned to the Philippines to visit with Campus Crusade workers and to visit a Christian ministry in Mindanao. He went to Pakistan to help set up a service trip by other seminary students the following summer. He once traveled around the world with a backpack and guitar (with a semester study in Vienna sandwiched in between). He taught two intensive courses during a few weeks in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Phil was the first to complete by correspondence the missions "Perspectives" course. He taught a class at William Carey University, which is affiliated with the U.S. Center for World Missions. Additionally, he taught two courses n church history at FullerColorado.

He has served on the Biblical Witness Fellowship (United Church of Christ) Mission Board, as well as the Mission Board of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference.

Phil currently serves a Congregational church.
